Britney Spears, America's pop icon, was born on the 2nd of December in 1981 in Kentwood Louisiana. Britney attended dance classes and won many gymnastics competitions and a little one. By age 8 she auditioned for "MMC" but her age was a factor in her failure. Again trying at age 11 she landed a role along many of today's stars. Spears signed with Jive Recording Artist and released "Baby One More Time" in 1999. Almost overnight she was in instantaneous success. Her debut album sold over 13 million copies and an equal amount for her follow-up album, "Oops I Did It Again". Now a new mother, she has taken a sideline tot he limelight and may be planning a triumphant return to the charts. Who knows, I'm sure it's not the last we'll hear of her! At 14 she was on the road with her sister as a professional dancer. Now years later she is in the process of signing a record deal of her own and is training for more acting roles.
